Day 7 – Pictures uploaded

Reached Nakon Phanom yesterday evening, only 15 seconds before the hardest rain I’ve ever seen. Phew!

After it stopped raining I went around town looking for dinner and supplies. Afterwards I watched some Tv shows on the laptop (usual routine) and got some sleep.

This morning I got some more fuel for the boat and found this Interent cafe with, quie possibly, the oldest keyboard known to mankind. But I’m not complaining. This is the first hi-speed Internet I’ve had in almost a week and I’m glad to have the opportunity to upload some images of the first part of the Mekong River “Think Before You Throw” campaign.

Next big town is Mukdahan and then the final destination for Thailand a few days after that. We will decide at that time if we will continue on through Cambodia and Vietnam.

Great great photos thank you for uploaded them. (except scary dead rats)
I’m so glad that everything is going so well. I’m so happy to see those photos from your trip because i can really see and feel your journey. It is your second trip around Thailand. The first one by motorbike. Helmet campaign trip. This time by plastic bottle boat for environmental campaign. What a full life you are spending.

Isara over here is doing well with the help from our great volunteers and good students.

Keep up the good work. We miss you!

Thank goodness for internet cafes’! I was beginning to think we might have to contact some town down river and have them pull you ashore for a bit. ;-) Great photos, a wide variety of heartache, grossness, and moments of humanity.

How are the people along the river reacting to a ting tong farang? Are they surprised when you speak Thai?

I hope when you get back that you are up to creating a reflective vlog of your journey with stories about your photos and experiences. *hint, hint* *cough* *hint, hint* :D
